Overview
Our client, a high-growth publicly traded organization leading in the logistics industry, is seeking a Lead Instructional Designer to rapidly rebuild and refresh the company’s new-hire onboarding and core training workstreams. This role will set a consistent look and feel across training materials, execute fast visual/course buildouts, and ensure standards compliance (SCORM/xAPI) and high-quality delivery against aggressive timelines.

The team is currently tracking a high volume of unique training deliverables due by mid–late March 2026, with approximately 90% requiring content/branding updates or net-new creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the rebuild and rollout of new-hire onboarding and related training workstreams end to end
  • Serve as the SME for instructional design and content development, guiding best practices and quality standards
  • Develop and package polished digital learning content, including online video modules and written articles
  • Create training content and modules at speed while maintaining a consistent, on-brand learner experience
  • Establish and maintain a consistent visual theme/branding across onboarding and training materials company-wide
  • Drive rapid course buildouts and content packaging using relevant authoring tools
  • Ensure deliverables meet compliance standards and internal requirements
  • Own the QA and readiness process (testing, review cycles, issue resolution, final approval)
  • Oversee and coordinate work across two Instructional Designers, prioritizing tasks, managing deadlines, and removing blockers
  • Manage timelines, deliverable tracking, and stakeholder updates to maintain momentum and hit deadlines
 
Qualifications
  • Senior/lead-level experience in Instructional Design and content development (L&D)
  • Proven SME-level expertise in designing learning experiences and developing content/modules
  • Strong track record delivering high-volume, high-quality learning deliverables under tight deadlines
  • Experience working with learning management systems (LMS)
  • Hands-on experience with SCORM/xAPI (standards compliance and packaging)
