About the Role

The Lead, Product Management - AI Solution is a senior product leadership role accountable for shaping, scaling, and operating a portfolio of embedded learning products that help learners and professionals perform better in the moments that matter most.

This role owns the end-to-end product vision, strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for learning capabilities integrated directly into daily workflows—where learning is contextual, actionable, and immediately valuable. Operating at an enterprise scale, the role translates Pearson's product strategy into clear product bets, measurable outcomes, and differentiated customer value.

They will lead through strong product craft, cross functional influence, and people leadership—managing managers and senior individual contributors where applicable—while setting a high bar for product thinking, decision quality, and customer impact.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership

  • Own and continuously evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the AI products portfolio, ensuring alignment with Pearson's strategic and commercial priorities.

  • Translate high level strategy into clear product bets, initiatives, and outcome based roadmaps.

  • Identify and prioritize high value workflow moments where embedded learning drives performance, adoption, and measurable learner outcomes.

  • Make principled tradeoffs between customer value, business impact, technical feasibility, and time to market.

  • Act as the senior product's voice for the domain, influencing direction across shared platforms, standards, and adjacent portfolios.

  • Accountable for budget planning and management to ensure committed work is delivered efficiently

Experience & Platform Delivery

  • Ensure delivery of cohesive, high quality, user-centered embedded learning experiences across owned products and capabilities.

  • Oversee the integration of in-house, licensed, and acquired capabilities into a coherent product ecosystem.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, UX, Data, and AI teams to enable relevance, personalization, experimentation, and scale.

  • Maintain strong product quality, usability, accessibility, and consistency across touchpoints.

  • Champion platform thinking to maximize reuse, interoperability, and long term scalability.

Outcomes, Metrics & Data Informed Execution

  • Define and own success metrics for the portfolio, spanning adoption, engagement, learning effectiveness, and business impact.

  • Use data, experimentation, and insight to guide prioritization, validate assumptions, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Establish clear feedback loops between customer insight, product discovery, and delivery.

  • Ensure the responsible, value driven application of AI within the product domain, aligned with Pearson principles and governance.

People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, develop, and performance manage Product Managers and/or Product Leaders within the portfolio.

  • Set clear expectations for product thinking, accountability, and outcome ownership.

  • Coach and mentor team members in modern product practices, supporting growth within Pearson's career architecture.

  • Build a strong, inclusive product culture grounded in learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Develop a robust product leadership bench, raising the bar for impact and execution.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product leadership experience, ideally with exposure to AI powered or innovative digital products.

  • Relevant experience with Microsoft application development ecosystem and distribution through Microsoft Marketplace is a plus

  • Strong user centered design instincts and the ability to translate complexity into simple, intuitive experiences.

  • Excellent communication, story telling and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Proven success owning and scaling embedded, workflow driven, or platform enabled products.

  • Strong command of modern product discovery, delivery, and lifecycle management practices.

  • Strong and proven experience in adopting AI tools for product management and demonstrated experience in rapid prototyping product concepts with vibe coding tools

  • Experience leading managers and senior individual contributors, with accountability for team performance and development.

  • Data informed decisionmaker with strong stakeholder management and executive level communication skills.

  • Experience operating effectively within matrixed, global organizations.
