About the Opportunity
The Ellucian Texas Connection Consortium (TCC) development team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help deliver a global SaaS solution for Texas higher education institutions. In this role, you will lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and actively contribute to building and maintaining innovative solutions for our Banner ERP platform.

What You Will Bring
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including leadership in technical projects.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Proficiency in Java, Grails, Hibernate, and front-end technologies such as AngularJS, HTML, CSS.
  • Expertise in database platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres.
  • Strong understanding of REST, JSON, XML, and asynchronous communication (queues, topics, streams).
  • Familiarity with common data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and command-line tools.
  • Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, scalability, and distributed computing.
  • Deployment automation using Terraform, Jenkins, Serverless framework.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and Test-Driven Development.
  • Ability to learn and adapt continuously to new technologies and challenges.
