About the Team:
The Lead Training Specialist owns the customer learning instructor-led training experience, including the development of course content and practical skills exercises or labs, and the release-sync maintenance of Medidata’s solution category of Instructor-Led Training units.The ideal candidate has a strong clinical trial operations background, solid experience as an instructor-led trainer and content developer, and a strategic-thinking approach to working across teams to transform Medidata’s instructor-led training experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Independently and successfully fulfill the assigned scope of work to develop course content and practical skills exercises or labs for your assigned product area
  • Plan end-end rollout of new or updated materials to include internal/external pilots and post-release feedback assessments
  • Successfully learn, and demonstrate continuous proficiency in, your assigned product area
  • Deliver engaging and effective training material; register a 4.2 out of 5 average learner satisfaction rating
  • Coordinate and execute virtual and onsite customer training sessions and workshops.
  • Note: The Medidata learner audience is global and the current demand for US/EMEA instructor-led training is 90% virtual at this time.
  • Proactively assess the effectiveness of training units and manage continuous improvements to maintain release sync and targeted earner satisfaction
  • Maintain related industry and clinical best practices and instructor-led training tools and technologies
  • Share your knowledge through knowledge share,support,and mentoring or training peer training specialists

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a customer Training Specialist within a Clinical Trial Operations organization
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills and training presentation skills
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and as part of a team
  • 1-2 years of customer training curriculum development
  • 1-2 years of customer training project management development
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Solid knowledge of Articulate RISE, Google Suite, Zoom, JIRA, and Camtasia is required
  • Bachelor's degree required; or equivalent years of experience

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $96,000 to $128,000. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $101,250 to $135,000. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $84,375 to $112,500. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Area is $94,500 to $126,000.The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $85,500 to $114,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
