Learning and Development Partner Full Description

Overview: 
The Learning and Development Partner creates innovative learning solutions that engage employees and drive performance across the organization. This role will collaborate with business subject matter experts, HR Operations, and other HR Centers of Excellence to build and implement company-wide solutions that promote the attraction, development, and retention of talent through a variety of delivery methods.
 
Role Reports to Learning and Development Program Manager
Location: Camden Headquarters

Responsibilities: 
  • Partner with the L&D leadership team to develop learning and development programs via needs analysis, program design and development, implementation and evaluation
  • Design interactive and engaging courses via e-learning authoring tools, engaging presentation tools, and/or creative curriculum design methodologies
  • Facilitate learning using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and interactive lectures, including offering learning opportunities based on operational needs.
  • Apply tools to measure learning solution effectiveness and its impact on performance.
  • Identify training courses success metrics, develop means to capture metrics, and develop communication protocols to create visibility and accountability
  • Maintain Learning and Development website/portal, by developing communications and marketing materials and updating appropriately
  • Assess learners’ retention of learning and ensure that they can apply their knowledge on the job.
Consultation and Collaboration
  • Serve as subject matter expert for learning delivery to other departments designing training.
  • Partner with training program sponsors and Subject Matter Experts to identify their needs and conduct training needs analysis to successfully capture program outcomes, deliverables, and inputs necessary for successful training outcomes
  • Communicate progress both during the program development stages, and execution stages to ensure stakeholder engagement and support
  • Partner closely with Internal Communications to ensure timely and effective communications that drive awareness and participation in L&D programs.
Additional Responsibilities Across Talent Development Function
  • Potential to partner with other Talent departments to assist in training and facilitation of new employee onboarding, early career development programs, mentorship programs, performance management, and employee engagement programs as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications: 
  • BA/BS degree preferred; or high school diploma with demonstrated relevant experience of 3+ years in Talent or Organization Development, HR Operations, or Talent Acquisition. Experience in supply chain, transportation, manufacturing or distribution is preferred.
  • Demonstrated design skills in e-learning authoring tools. Articulate and Camtasia preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are a must, including the ability to communicate at all levels both inside and outside of NFI.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally that generate a positive perception of NFI and the Talent Development function.
  • Excellent project management skills. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and respond quickly to changing business needs and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • High level of proficiency with technology, such as Google Suite, Power Point and various learning and training technologies.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work across all business units and be willing to travel as necessary.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

We are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $80,000.00.  This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 3%.  NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
