Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
L&D Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of learning and development projects. Their goal is to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the expectations of stakeholders. This role is vital in supporting employee development, enhancing skills, and ultimately contributing to organizational growth and success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Planning & Strategy:
- Plan the overall project, from initial feasibility studies to detailed project plans.
- Manage budgets and negotiate contracts with external vendors.
- Identify and assess training needs within the organization.
- Develop and implement effective learning and development strategies and programs.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Project Execution & Management:
- Manage the execution of L&D projects, including risk and issue management, stakeholder management, and project monitoring/control.
- Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Ensure end-to-end delivery of high-quality learning solutions.
- Coordinate resources and manage the project budget.
- Track and report on program outcomes and metrics.
- Content & Delivery:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging training content.
- Design and deliver various learning methods, such as e-learning courses, workshops, and coaching.
- Ensure training programs comply with industry regulations and standards.
- Relationship Management:
- Manage relationships between stakeholders and project team members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, managers, trainers, and vendors.
- Evaluation & Improvement:
- Assess the success of development plans and help employees maximize learning opportunities.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
- Project Management Expertise:
- Proven experience in project management methodologies and practices.
- Experience managing budgets and tracking project progress.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project).
- L&D Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices.
- Ability to assess training needs and develop tailored programs.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Other Important Skills:
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership skills to guide and motivate project teams.
- Adaptability and flexibility to navigate a dynamic environment.
- Experience in the learning industry is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Education, Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development.
- A master’s degree or professional certification (like a PMP or CPLP) can be beneficial.
- Relevant experience in Learning and Development and Project Management.

Salary: $105,000-$115,000 based on experience
