Learning and Development Specialist Full Description

Overview: 
The primary role of the Learning & Development Specialist is to support communications, content curation, measurement and completion of learning and performance activities. This role will support the growing demand for essential skill building for managers across Sales, Service, Marketing, and Customer Administration teams. This professional will report to the Manager of Professional Development and collaborate with them on the development and delivery of the organization's professional development and skill building portfolio.

Responsibilities: 
  • Support the design and development of learning programs and experiences (include instructor-led, virtual, online, and blended learning methodologies) by applying adult learning principles and current knowledge of leadership learning and development trends
  • Prepare learning analytics for stakeholders.
  • Curate and maintain libraries of learning content and skill-building programs that fit Konica Minolta’s culture and strategy; stay current and well read on trends to select and build content
  • Collaborate with Learning Group members to develop training materials, multimedia visual aids, e-learning, and other educational tools that support our Professional Development and Skill Building programs
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service delivery
  • Coordinate logistics and support for professional development offerings including but not limited to manager training, enterprise skill building and the KM development catalog.  
  • Assist in the creation of participant and leaders guides and performance support tools  
  • Create communications cadence for program enrollment, communications, and post-program learning support.  
  • Draft, organize, and deliver program announcements and communications and calendars.
  • Coordinate distribution and retention of program materials, invitations, follow up messages, and surveys for program participants and facilitators. 
  • Manage various program and learner communication platforms including active Teams Channels.  
  • Attend all virtual training sessions to assist production, collect feedback, facilitate Q&A, and ensure smooth participant experience.  
  • Upload training materials to document retention repository
  • Create, issue, and distribute program completion certificates and post-program sustainment tools. 
  • Conduct learning program reviews and survey data and gather feedback from learners and stakeholders 

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, professional certifications and experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in learning & development, talent management, and/or project management/coordination.
  • Exceptional communication (written), organization, and time management skills.  
  • Demonstrated application of contemporary organizational learning principles and research findings
  • Ability to create and deliver a variety of Enterprise stakeholder presentations and reports; facilitating discussions with stakeholders within and outside of the Learning Group 
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills and a high degree of personal accountability.  
  • Skill in analyzing learning metrics to assess business impact and informing recommendations for leaders 
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools (Eg. Adobe Rise/Articulate)
  • Naturally curious learner
  • Strong knowledge and adoption of Microsoft 365 apps and tools, especially Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.  
  • Experience with Copilot/Generative AI preferred.  
  • Experience with LinkedIn Learning preferred.
