Salary Range:
$70,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually

Job Summary: The Learning & Development Specialist will be responsible for creating and implementing technology related training, learning and development programs for attorneys and business professionals. This includes using a variety of delivery methods to support the proper use and adoption of firm applications.

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver training on core firm software, supporting new hires and ongoing employee development to promote effective, efficient use of technology.
  • Collaborate with the IT team and other departments on software rollouts and upgrades, including pilot testing.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and programs for firm software and IT upgrades.
  • Lead virtual and in-person training sessions tailored to various roles, practice areas, and departments.
  • Provide advanced (third-level) support and one-on-one coaching for complex software issues (e.g., Word, Excel, NetDocs), promoting best practices.
  • Track training programs in the Learning Management System (LMS) and generate training metrics as needed.
  • Ensure LMS content is current and aligned with firm technology initiatives.
  • Continuously improve training based on feedback and performance data.
  • Promote firm-approved technologies that enhance functionality and service.
  • Research and recommend modern learning technologies and attend relevant workshops and conferences.
  • Coordinate with external training vendors as needed and act as liaison when in-house training is not feasible.
  • Collaborate with training team members to share feedback and refine technology training strategies.
 
Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong background in training Microsoft Office and other business applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum of 2 years of training experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with technical writing and eLearning tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, Articulate Storyline)
  • Proficient in managing multiple priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and working independently with sound judgment
  • Effective time management skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Experience with tools for tracking and reporting training effectiveness
  • Strong adaptability, problem-solving, and creativity
  • Must be able to perform all essential job duties
