Learning and Development Specialist Full Description

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Learning and Development Specialist to design, implement, and optimize learning programs that elevate employee engagement, skill-building, and career development. You will collaborate across departments to identify training needs and deliver impactful learning solutions that align with business goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess organizational learning needs through surveys, interviews, and data analysis.
  • Design and deliver engaging onboarding, compliance, technical, and leadership training programs.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to develop role-specific learning paths.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions with a focus on adult learning principles.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using key metrics (e.g., engagement, retention, performance improvements).
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) including content creation, reporting, and user support.
  • Stay updated on L&D trends, technologies, and best practices; recommend innovative learning solutions
  • Support initiatives related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee experience.
  • Develop internal resources such as eLearning modules, job aids, and toolkits.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and leadership to support performance management and talent development initiatives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in L&D or training roles, preferably in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Proven experience designing and facilitating learning programs.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, and eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate)
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Workday Learning, TalentLMS, SuccessFactors or similar).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in L&D or instructional design (e.g., CPLP, ATD, SHRM).
  • Experience supporting technical teams or product training.
