ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
 Assist the L&OD Team in the effort to train and provide development opportunities to employees
Coordinates the administration of training records and training materials.
Coordinates with instructors to schedule delivery of training programs and provides them feedback in response to specific employee, departmental, and City-wide requests and needs.
Administration, review, and approval of tuition reimbursement applications, in accordance with program guidelines.
eLearning Development: Assists in the design and development of interactive online modules using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Canva) under the guidance of senior staff.
LMS Administration: Supports LMS administration, including uploading courses, troubleshooting user issues, and generating compliance and completion reports.
Training Coordination: Coordinates the logistics for instructor-led training (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training (VILT), including scheduling, registrations, and technology setup.
Content Curation: Updates and maintains a library of training materials, ensuring that digital assets, manuals, and job aids remain current and accessible.
Project Support: Contributes to large-scale training projects by conducting needs assessments, gathering research, and collecting post-training evaluation data to measure effectiveness.
Multimedia Support: Assists in the production of basic multimedia assets, such as recording voiceovers, editing simple training videos, or creating graphic organizers.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Stays current on emerging trends in Educational Technology (EdTech).
Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential job function. Below are the required education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis).
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in corporate training, HR, or educational support, with at least one (1) year of exposure to digital content creation or LMS management.

Licenses
Valid Florida Driver's License required within 30 days of appointment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Basic understanding of adult learning theories (e.g., ADDIE or Gagne’s Nine Events).
Skill in using eLearning authoring software and graphic design tools.
High level of comfort with video conferencing platforms (Zoom/Teams) and cloud-based collaboration tools.
Ability to analyze training metrics and survey results to provide actionable insights.
Strong written communication skills with a focus on "writing for the learner" (clear, concise, and engaging).
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities in a fast-   paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit for prolonged periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
