Overview
The Learning Content Designer (LCD) oversees the execution and quality assurance of instructional content across all learning programs. This role manages content scalability, reusability, and alignment with organizational learning strategies. The Learning Content Designer oversees the creation of instructional materials, including facilitator and student guides, while managing the development and maintenance of the SharePoint learning program sites to ensure easy access and organization of resources for learners and facilitators. The Learning Content Designer collaborates with Learning Architects and stakeholders to evaluate content needs and ensure high-quality, accurate, and effective learning materials. The Learning Content Designer manages content housed within the LMS and other repositories, overseeing updates, editorial reviews, archiving, and processing content-related change requests.
Responsibilities
The Learning Content Designer (LCD) oversees the execution and quality assurance of instructional content across all learning programs. This role manages content scalability, reusability, and alignment with organizational learning strategies. The Learning Content Designer oversees the creation of instructional materials, including facilitator and student guides, while managing the development and maintenance of the SharePoint learning program sites to ensure easy access and organization of resources for learners and facilitators. The Learning Content Designer collaborates with Learning Architects and stakeholders to evaluate content needs and ensure high-quality, accurate, and effective learning materials. The Learning Content Designer manages content housed within the LMS and other repositories, overseeing updates, editorial reviews, archiving, and processing content-related change requests.
Serve as the primary owner of all learning content within the LMS and other learning platforms or repositories. Ensure all content is aligned with organizational learning strategies and effectively meets business needs.
Develop and manage SharePoint program sites, ensuring content organization, scalability, and accessibility for instructional materials and resources across the organization.
Oversee the creation of instructional materials, such as facilitator guides and student guides, ensuring these resources are comprehensive, clear, and aligned with learning objectives.
Regularly evaluate existing learning content to ensure it is accurate, relevant, and up to date. Based on thorough content evaluations, recommend updates, archiving, or sunsetting outdated or redundant materials.
Conduct thorough QA testing, including editorial review, to ensure all course elements, including multimedia and interactivity, function correctly and meet design and technical standards across different platforms.
Oversee the processing and validating content-related change requests, working closely with IDs and SMEs to ensure changes are accurate, timely, and properly implemented.
Work closely with Learning Architects and stakeholders to align content with business goals, contributing strategic input during learning project design and evaluation phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. - Preferred
- 3 years of experience in instructional content development or management.
- 3 years of experience in content management tools, including SharePoint, and learning content authoring tools such as Articulate 360.
- 3 years of experience in content auditing and quality assurance for instructional materials.
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $32.10 - $50.45 hourly. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
