JOB PURPOSE:
Modiv EDU is seeking a Learning Content Designer to join our small, agile team for a short-term role. In this role, you’ll focus primarily on researching, scripting, and designing Micro-Learning content for our Learn/Modiv EDU platform, while also creating high-quality resources for K-12 educators. This is a part-time position (29 hours/week) ideal for a former educator who is passionate about instructional design, fluent in tech tools, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This individual would have a strong understanding of technology, pedagogical best practices, and a special interest in Artificial Intelligence.

EXPECTATIONS:
Design and script engaging, pedagogically sound Micro-Courses and Micro-Credentials aligned to Modiv EDU scope and sequence as well as educator needs and learning outcomes.Develop high-quality, classroom-ready learning resources that reflect best practices in instruction, student engagement, and content alignment.Collaborate closely with the Learning Design Specialist to iterate on course, lesson, and credential content based on insights from our intensive feedback loop.Conduct research and synthesize complex educational concepts into digestible, actionable learning experiences and course content.Ensure all materials meet quality standards, are aligned to brand and instructional goals, and are accessible for diverse learners.Use digital tools and platforms to manage workflow, content creation, and communication with the team.This also may include additional responsibilities as they arise.

REQUIRED SKILLS, BEHAVIOR, OR KNOWLEDGE
Former K-12 educator or current instructional designer with a strong understanding of instructional practices and curriculum developmentExperience designing professional learning content or educational curriculum for teachers with prior Micro-Credential experience or understandingStrong writing and content development skills, especially in scripting short-form learning experiencesComfort using educational technology platforms, digital design tools, and collaborative workspaces (e.g., Google Workspace, Canva, Box, etc.)Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in a startup environment

Preferred:
Experience with Micro-Course and Micro-Credential designFamiliarity with Challenge Based Learning or other project-based learning frameworksKnowledge of current trends in educator professional learningStrong understanding of EdTech tools, best practices, and specifically AI
