Job Summary:
The Learning & Development Specialist will design and deliver process and procedural based curriculum using audience appropriate learning principles and training models. Will be responsible to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate all Bank learning activities.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Develop training ideas and concepts through user interfaces, graphics, illustrations, animations and/or simulates for e-learning and classroom presentations for all levels of staff.
- Creatively deliver training using audience appropriate learning and delivery methods to internal & external audiences, according to project timelines, desired performance outcomes and learner needs.
- Continually monitor instructional delivery best practices and learner assessments, adjusts techniques, and recommend changes when appropriate.
- Develop training plans, agendas, and programs.
- Select appropriate evaluation methods to measure progress and job competency for any given training session.
- Conduct, analyze, and implement lessons learned, measure effectiveness of learning solutions, and ensure continuous improvement activities are meeting learner needs and desired performance outcomes.
- Participate on projects with cross-functional teams.
- Continuously partner with subject matter experts and content owners to ensure training programs meet business needs.
- Keep current by continuously researching industry trends and best practices using that knowledge to enhance learning experiences.
- Perform all duties in relation to the Bank Secrecy Act under the guidance of the BSA Officer.

Skills and Abilities Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with associates, including Executive & Senior Management as well as subject-matter experts.
- Must demonstrate analytical thinking skills and the ability to make sound judgement calls.
- Advanced organization and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Excellent organizational skills with a problem-solving ability.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Associate in Science is required, Bachelor of Science preferred.
- 3+ years of banking experience in a financial environment is required.
- 2+ years’ experience with Fiserv is required.
Physical Requirements of Essential Job Functions:
The associate is frequently required to sit and/or stand, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools or controls that are typical of an office/bank environment. Lifting items weighting up to 10 pounds on a consistent basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 80% of the work period while operating equipment such as computers, phones, calculators, etc.
Working Conditions:
- Typical office environment.
- Extended viewing of computer screens.
- Periodic travel between locations may be required.
- Typical schedule: Monday – Friday, 8a-5p. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
- Travel, including overnight stays, will be required during M & A activities.
