Position Summary
The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and continuously improving learning programs that support associate growth, organizational effectiveness, and business objectives. This role owns the company's onboarding experience, collaborates with stakeholders to identify learning needs, develops engaging learning solutions, and manages programs from conception through evaluation.
The Learning & Development Specialist combines expertise in instructional design, program management, organizational development, and learning administration with a passion for creating impactful associate development experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Onboarding Program Management
- Own and continuously enhance the end-to-end associate onboarding experience for new hires.
- Partner with HR, business leaders, and subject matter experts to ensure onboarding content remains current and aligned with business priorities.
- Manage onboarding schedules, communications, learning assignments, and program logistics.
- Evaluate onboarding effectiveness through feedback, participation metrics, and business outcomes, implementing improvements as needed.
Learning Program Design & Development
- Design, create, update, and maintain high-quality presentations, guides, videos, e-learning modules, facilitator materials, participant resources, job aids, and quick-reference tools.
- Translate complex information into practical, accessible, learner-centered content aligned with adult-learning principles, organizational standards, and Fremont Bank branding.
- Organize and maintain learning resources within the Learning Management System and approved shared-learning platforms.
- Support virtual, hybrid, and in-person learning delivery and troubleshoot routine learning-technology issues.
- Use approved AI-assisted content tools responsibly, validating accuracy, protecting confidential information, complying with licensing requirements, and applying appropriate human review.
Organizational Development Support
- Support organizational development initiatives that strengthen associate engagement, leadership capability, career development, talent readiness, and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist in the implementation of talent development programs and change management efforts.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to support a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Program Management & Continuous Improvement
- Manage multiple learning and development programs simultaneously, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery.
- Develop project plans, timelines, communication strategies, and implementation schedules.
- Coordinate resources, stakeholders, facilitators, and vendors to ensure program success.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program effectiveness and impact.
- Recommend and implement enhancements based on data, stakeholder input, and best practices.
Learning Administration
- Maintain learning records, program documentation, and learning management system (LMS) data.
- Manage course enrollment, program communications, training calendars, and reporting.
- Ensure training materials and learning resources remain accurate and accessible.
- Support compliance and audit-related training requirements as needed.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with external training providers, consultants, and learning partners.
- Assist with vendor selection, scheduling, contracting, invoicing, and program delivery.
- Evaluate vendor performance and learning outcomes to ensure quality and alignment with organizational needs.
Learning & Development Support
- Serve as a trusted partner to associates, managers, and HR colleagues regarding learning and development resources.
- Stay informed on emerging L&D trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the organization's learning strategy and associate development initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, Psychology, or related field.
- 3 plus years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related function.
- Experience managing onboarding programs and employee development initiatives.
- Experience designing and delivering training content using instructional design methodologies.
- Experience managing projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, or similar).
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and virtual learning platforms.
- Familiarity with organizational development and talent management practices.
- Training, facilitation, or coaching certification preferred.

Salary Range
The hiring salary range is based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Compensation decisions are made in consideration of these factors and in alignment with Fremont Bank’s compensation philosophy.
Salary Range
USD $95,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
