Job Summary

The Learning & Development (L&D) Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating learning programs that strengthen employee capability, support business growth, and advance workforce development across the organization.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Management: Supervise, coach, and develop two direct reports. Set priorities, delegate work, and ensure timely and high-quality execution of projects. Provide continuous feedback, professional development, and performance management.
  • Training Strategy & Needs Analysis: Conduct training needs assessments across departments to identify skill gaps and capability requirements. Partner with leadership to align L&D strategies with business goals, quality standards, and future workforce needs.
  • Program Design & Development: Lead the design, development, and enhancement of learning programs, training materials, e-learning modules, and job-specific curricula. Oversee the end-to-end instructional design lifecycle, including storyboarding, content creation, multimedia integration, and knowledge checks.
  • Training Delivery & Facilitation: Facilitating training sessions, whether through workshops, seminars, online courses, or other formats, to deliver the content to employees. Coach and mentor trainers and SMEs on effective adult learning techniques.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration: Oversee LMS configuration, content updating, reporting, user experience, and system optimization. Monitor training completion rates and learning analytics.
  • Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Measure training effectiveness with assessments, evaluations, performance metrics, and ROI analysis. Continuously improve programs based on learner feedback, industry best practices, and organizational needs.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment: Build strong partnerships with department leaders, SMEs, and HR Business Partners to align learning programs with strategic objectives. Support employee development plans, career pathways, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Budget, Compliance & Resource Management: Managing the budget allocated for training initiatives, including expenses related to materials, instructors, and technology.

Qualifications
Educational and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in training and development, human resources management, organizational development, or business administration
  • Minimum of two years leading direct reports
  • Minimum of six years of experience assessing training needs, translating job requirements into training requirements, planning and coordinating personnel training, and developing instructional materials.
  • Minimum four years of experience working in Instructional Design and/or e-Learning Development
  • Preferred to have experience working in a regulated environment that adheres to FDA, ISO, and/or MDSAP compliance standards.
