The Learning Strategy and Emerging Talent Specialist supports technical learning within the claims organization by creating engaging, accessible content that enhances knowledge sharing and adoption. This role focuses on microlearning, digital engagement, and innovative learning strategies to complement formal technical training programs.
This role is fully remote, and candidates must be located in either the Eastern Time Zone or Central Time Zone.
How you'll make an impact
Learning Content Development
- Create short, targeted videos to address FAQs and operational updates involving claims technical training.
- Develop microlearning assets (quick guides, visual explainers) aligned with technical training objectives.
- Ensure all content supports learning strategy and complements structured training.
- Audit existing microlearning and video assets periodically and update as needed to maintain relevance and accuracy.
Digital Engagement
- Publish and maintain SharePoint posts and templates for the LSET team.
- Use Viva Engage to increase visibility and engagement with learning content.
- Monitor engagement metrics and adjust strategies for maximum impact.
- Maintain and curate technical training playlists in SharePoint or other platforms to ensure easy access and logical flow of learning content.
Collaboration & Role Clarity
- Partner with Internal Communications and/or or other departments for consistency while focusing on claims technical training content.
- Work closely with LSET trainers to prioritize topics and maintain accuracy.
- Act as a “niche content creator” for claims technical training—not corporate messaging.
Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Gather FAQs and feedback from claims teams to inform new content.
- Track effectiveness of learning content and iterate based on user needs.
- Regularly review and refresh outdated learning content to ensure accuracy and alignment with current claims processes and standards.
About You
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, multi-media, learning and development, organizational development, or education technology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, creativity, and organization.
2+ years directly applicable experience in insurance or financial brokerage. Proficient in developing and following individual work plan(s). Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in using Microsoft 365 applications with key strengths in SharePoint, Teams, Viva, Forms, and PowerPoint. Up to 10% travel.
Preferred Requirements: Proficient in Canva, Camtasia, and/or Articulate. Graphic design. Insurance and/or customer service learning and development experience preferred.
Behaviors: Able to collaborate with key stakeholders to identify learning needs, build out materials and implement them in a way that leads to behavior change. Excellent presence and ability to build and sustain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
