We’re looking for an Learning Technology Representative to support our territory that covers Boise, Idaho. Reporting to a District Sales Manager in our Higher Education Sales Organization, the Sales Representative will be responsible for driving digital product sales within the assigned territory by connecting with faculty and key stake holders at colleges and universities.

Sales Representatives are experienced communicators who are highly organized, data-driven, and can quickly learn and leverage new technologies to maximize the impact of McGraw Hill solutions on educators and learners. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit – is willing to seek out, engage and close business all while working in a dynamic and complex environment. Intellectual curiosity and an appreciation for educational institutions are keys to success in this role.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States and requires up to 80% travel in the Boise area.

What you will be doing:
  • Leveraging McGraw Hill’s existing customer base to grow digital users and increase market share in new course areas.
  • Reaching or exceeding established sales goals for assigned territory and partnering with internal support teams to drive revenue.
  • Building strong relationships with faculty and administrators  becoming their trusted advisor for higher education course solutions and continuously identifying new opportunities to cultivate partnerships.
  • Collaborating with college bookstores/business offices to ensure delivery of content and gain understanding of campus initiatives.
  • Ensuring effective implementation and proper use of McGraw Hill technologies, including delivering sales presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Using a CRM system to develop and maintain territory pipeline from prospect to close.
  • Effectively manage business and sampling budget and working with sales leadership on sales strategy.
 
We're looking for someone with:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the higher education sector.
  • Strong understanding of the higher education landscape, challenges, and decision making processes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior-level executives.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo) and sales engagement platforms (SalesLoft, Outreach, LinkedIn, AI Tools)
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

The pay for this position is $54,600-$80,000 annually, however, base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sales commission plan will be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
