RMU is hiring a Literacy Tutor, Structured Literacy. The tutor will conduct assessments, plan and implement literacy instruction, monitor progress, and communicate with parents for students in grades K-12 at the Center. The role also involves record keeping, collaborating with the Coordinator and other staff, and participating in professional development.

Conduct all assessments and instruction for K-12 students referred to the Center.
Plan and monitor developmentally appropriate instructional interventions based on screening data.
Maintain accurate attendance, time sheets, and instructional records.
Communicate regularly with parents, stakeholders, and the Center Coordinator.
Collaborate with other tutors and attend frequent team meetings and professional development.
Master’s Degree in Literacy and Reading Specialist certification required.
Undergraduate degree in education with Pennsylvania certification required.
Training in Structured Literacy and at least one year of tutoring experience required.
Position is part-time, limited to under 29 hours per week and 950 hours per calendar year, with no university benefits.
Position funded partially by grants; continuation depends on funding renewal.
