A Day in the Life of an LMS Manager
As an LMS Manager, you will engage in a dynamic and impactful work environment where you will oversee our Learning Management System. Your day will typically start with a review of the system's performance metrics, addressing any technical issues that may have arisen overnight, and ensuring that all learning resources are readily accessible for employees. You will collaborate with various department heads to identify current training needs and schedule engaging programs that enhance employee development.
Throughout the day, you will dedicate time to updating course content to keep it relevant and compelling, while also monitoring employee progress in various learning initiatives. This involves analyzing data to generate insights that inform future improvements in our training offerings. Additionally, you will provide support to both managers and employees, addressing inquiries and offering guidance on utilizing the LMS effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage user permissions and provide support to learners and instructors
- Provide technical assistance and address course access or platform issues
- Coordinate system updates and ensure compatibility
- Develop and deliver training on LMS usage; maintain documentation
- Ensure LMS compliance with security and data protection standards
- Maintain SharePoint with relevant training and Academy information
- Flexibility to support other Academy or Company initiatives
Experience & Education:
- Proficient in LMS software and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of eLearning standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI).
- Familiar with cloud-based systems or SaaS solutions (preferred).
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- 3+ years managing an LMS, safety training/management, or in restoration operations
- Familiarity with instructional design or eLearning content creation, preferred
- Knowledge of LMS integration with HR or enterprise systems, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience
