Job Overview
The Content Manager works closely with the training development team to ensure that users receive a seamless learning experience from enrollment to certification and promotes learner success by developing metrics by which to gauge the effectiveness of the training programs.

Location: Milwaukee, WI / Cartersville, GA

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an SOP for content development, including common authoring tools, consistent UX, multiple modality
  • Evaluate and implement integrated training tools for KA platform, as they become available
  • Develop and maintain testing standards for all KA content to ensure functionality and adherence to standards
  • Manage “authoring tools” including definition of best practice, allowed & proscribed tools, licensing & cost management
  • Lead the governance of content that is developed, and provide oversight of any user-generated content in KA
  • Develop and maintain guidelines for tagging / metadata management of content
  • Manage translation of content into all required languages
  • Develop reporting tools/dashboards to effectively measure use of training content
  • Create and manage an intake system for planning training content development, including current projects and forecasted projects
  • Manage the content support team for North America CE, Forestry, and Surface Mining (20%)
  • Determine required staffing levels in the content organization for long term sustainability
  • Continually evaluate staffing needs, particularly the number of ID, CD, LMS Admins and graphics/media professionals as training tools evolve
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Education, CTE, Information Systems or a related field
  • Previous experience with D2L Brightspace, SuccessFactors, or comparable relevant experience, is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience as an LMS administrator at a professional level, as well as previous experience with online course development, instructional design, and technology
  • Working knowledge with remote learning technologies including SCORM and online classrooms
  • Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript is a plus
  • Flexible and adaptable to new programs, systems and processes in an evolving and technology driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify training needs, create solutions, and organize complex information.
  • Keen attention to detail, strong written/oral communication and excellent organization skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to get along well with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Exceptional work ethic and track record of personal initiative.
