About the role:
Cloud Delivery Engineering (CDE) is transforming into a best-in-class cloud-ready organization optimized for our modern cloud solutions. As a DevOps Manager, you will lead a team of system engineers responsible for public cloud environments as well as co-located datacenters as we finish our migration efforts to the public cloud. You’ll focus on quality and process, and advance our automation and engineering capabilities, to deliver the highly scalable, reliable, secure and performant applications that will delight our customers.  You’ll relentlessly pursue opportunities to advance our operational  
effectiveness and increase customer satisfaction. 

What you’ll be doing:
  • Cultivate a diverse, high-performing team that develops, recognizes and retains the best people and challenges them to advance their technical and engineering skills to meet the demands of rapidly evolving technologies and to transition from co-location to cloud-based applications 

  • Oversee the implementation of automation projects to ensure consistency with design decisions, standards, and best practices, utilizing experience building a cloud operating model and container strategy with cloud services including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Docker & Kubernetes, etc. 

  • Manage Incident response and resolution processes to minimize downtime and ensure service reliability 

  • Prepare and present reports on team performance, project status and operational metrics to leadership 

  • Establish and maintain best practices for security, performance and scaling infrastructure in production environments 

  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to team developing and maintaining automation using languages like powershell, python and ansible to streamline system administration  

  • Collaborate with CyberSecurity to implement necessary safeguards to protect the infrastructure from unauthorized access, threats and vulnerabilities 

  • Facilitate effective communication within and outside of the team 

  • Participate in budget planning and management for resources, evaluating new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency 

  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to enhance organizational practices 

  • Monitor infrastructure and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement 

  • Continuous and effective performance management of the team 

What we'll want you to have:
  • 10+ years of experience as an engineer with a strong technical background managing systems and infrastructure 

  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial or leadership role managing cloud infrastructure. 

  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS 

  • Hands-on DevOps experience building out the infrastructure for and installing the tooling for an  enterprise software development lifecycle as well as writing/constructing all necessary scripts, build/deploy jobs & workflows 

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation 

  • Experience working with large and geographically distributed teams preferred 

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to work effectively within team members and key stakeholders 

  • Strong ability to mentor, coach and drive professional development within the team. 

  • Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities; Available on a 24x7x365 basis when needed for production impacting incidents or key customer events 

  • Exposure to and experience in using AI to automate and maintain production environments strongly preferred
