THE OPPORTUNITY:
As our Manager, Engagement Marketing, you’ll be both a player and a coach—leading the strategy and rolling up your sleeves to oversee and set strategy on programs in both field marketing and community marketing.

You’ll manage and mentor a growing team focused on building powerful brand engagement, while also directly owning key initiatives, especially in this formative stage of the company. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll define what great engagement looks like and ensure it drives real business outcomes.

YOU WILL:
  • Lead and manage a team of field and community marketers, mentoring team members and creating an environment of collaboration, experimentation, and accountability.
  • Develop and own the end-to-end engagement marketing strategy, including field and community marketing initiatives that align with company goals.
  • Partner with the Head of Marketing on strategy and defining metrics for your side of the org in order to push the boundaries on what marketing can accomplish.
  • Build and scale community marketing programs that engage and grow our educator and learner audiences across channels (forums, events, social, etc.).
  • Design programs to nurture brand advocates, foster peer-to-peer connections, and activate our community as a growth engine.
  • Plan and execute field marketing campaigns—including virtual and in-person events, regional activations, and conferences.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and other members of the Marketing team to ensure alignment and amplify engagement efforts.
  • Define KPIs, report on performance, and continuously optimize programs for growth and ROI.
  • Serve as a key voice of the customer, bringing community insights back into the broader organization to inform strategy and product development.

YOU HAVE:
  • 6+ years of marketing experience with a strong track record in both strategy and execution.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and growing high-performing marketing teams.
  • Deep experience in both field marketing and community marketing.
  • A strategic mindset and the ability to connect engagement initiatives to broader business goals.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills.
A collaborative, entrepreneurial approach and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Hyper creativity. You know that what every other brand does isn't good enough. You think outside the box and know how to bring creative vision to life.
  • Scrappiness and the desire to move fast. You come up with an idea, evangelize your team, and make it happen overnight.
  • Experience in project management software (monday.com;, etc.)
  • Previous work experience in a venture-backed startup.

BONUS:
  • Experience marketing to educators, academic institutions, or in the edtech or learning technology space.
  • Familiarity with modern marketing and community platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Slack, Airtable, Circle, Bevy, etc.).
