Learning and Development jobs focus on the design, delivery, and improvement of training programs that help employees build skills, perform better, and grow with the organization. Most of the jobs you'll find here will be at companies looking to develop their training and onboarding programs as part of the human resources team. In many cases the skills required to work in Learning and Development align well with instructional design jobs too.
Identify skill gaps across teams (usually from manager input, performance reviews, or company/department level surveys)
Create learning roadmaps aligned with business goals (i.e. access and training on AI-related tools)
Design onboarding, leadership development, compliance, and upskilling programs
Develop or license training materials (courses, workshops, videos)
Manage trainers, subject matter experts vendors and platforms.
Ownership over and administration of the company’s LMS
Create courses, track completions, and manage certifications.
Evaluate and implement new learning tools or platforms
Track training effectiveness using KPIs (completion rates, assessments, performance outcomes)
Connect learning initiatives to business results (productivity, retention, promotion readiness)
Continuously refine programs based on data and feedback
Partner with HR, People Ops, and department leaders
Support managers in coaching and employee development
Connect with recruiters and L&D experts.
