Job Summary
The Manager of Online Student Success serves as the supervisor for the operational online student success coach team supporting online learners and initiatives. As the manager, this position will oversee online student success coaches and the development of retention and engagement strategies across colleges to support online graduate students to reach their academic, career, and professional development goals.
The Manager of Online Student Success will maintain a student case load to support online graduate students in goal setting, overcoming obstacles, and supporting their career and professional development, to achieve success. Driven individual focused on engagement, student experience, retention, and student success across the online graduate programs. Builds and sustains working relationships with other administrative units and ensures students have access to necessary resources and tools. They will play a leadership role in collaborating with the Senior Manager of Engagement, Manager of Admissions and Enrollment, and Manager of Recruitment to implement overall successful student start and ongoing positive student experience.

Education and Experience
Qualified candidates will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, management, public administration, communication, or related field
- Three (3) years of previous experience in one or more of the following: customer service, coaching, training/development, advising, student recruitment/retention, or related student services
- Experience-related understanding of professional ethics in the coaching process
- Defining and implementing data and assessment practices
- Utilizing a holistic approach toward student balance, achievement, and success.
- Team leadership and/or supervisory experience with a team of entry or intermediate level professionals.
Skills:
- Effectively manage and motivate team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate with all levels of the university community and the ability to work across organizational boundaries.
- Ability lead and manage the execution of processes and projects within a team environment.
- Professional experience in student advising, success coaching and online programs, preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and prior exposure to a database system; ability to create standard documents and reports.
- Ability to work with large populations of students.
- Being able to empathize and form relationships.
- Strong presentation skills necessary.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management skills. Self-starter.
- Good written and oral communications skill a must.
- Ability to work with large populations of online graduate students.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with online programs
- University experience, especially with Purdue University system tools such as, Cognos, Banner, Brightspace, and SharePoint, etc.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $70,000.00. The final salary offer will be determined based on various factors, including internal equity, available budget, and relevant experience.
