Work Schedule Summary  | This is a HYBRID position, and will work ON-CAMPUS, OFF-CAMPUS, and VIRTUALLY. You will spend significant time at recruitment events in the community (local schools, hospitals, conferences, etc.), with schedules approved by the supervisor. There will be limited evening and weekend work hours with very minimal potential overnight travel. You must be able to independently travel to these frequent local events as needed.

Job Summary  | Join our Student Affairs and Academic Operations team at Utah’s flagship College of Nursing (CoN) at the University of Utah. As the Recruitment Manager you will support all aspects of student recruitment, admissions, and enrollment for the College of Nursing’s undergraduate and graduate academic programs. This position within Student Services is well-suited for a dynamic, self-motivated, and collaborative individual.

Under the supervision of the Director of Student Affairs and Academic Operations, this position will contribute to the overall recruitment & enrollment efforts for all Nursing and Gerontology programs.  The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to attracting, enrolling, and retaining students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. This position requires extensive interaction with prospective students, vendors, community members and other college and university staff.  This person must be a proactive individual who excels at taking initiative and completing tasks with minimal supervision, have strong communication and project management skills, have a high-quality service orientation, be an effective team player, and excellent organizer to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities  | 1. Learn and master knowledge about each Undergraduate and Graduate programs in the CoN.
2. Help develop and implement a comprehensive strategic recruitment plan for the College of Nursing’s academic programs.
3. Collaborate with the CoN’s Communication Team to inform social media, print, and marketing strategies for recruitment efforts.
4. Develop and maintain a database of recruitment opportunities, up-to-date contact lists, and recruitment reports.
5. Develop and execute strategies and processes for increasing the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Nursing and Gerontology application and admissions processes.
6. Plan, coordinate and execute College of Nursing recruitment events such as information sessions, open houses, advisor luncheons and workshops.
7. Plan, coordinate and execute CoN participation in local, state-wide and national recruitment events, including career and school/college fairs, resource fairs, information sessions, community organizations, and conferences.
8. Cultivate and maintain relationships with hospital, clinic, and other healthcare facility leaders, guidance counselors, advisors, prospective students, families, and internal and external stakeholders.
9. Council and advise potential students regarding program and admission processes.
10. Serve as a liaison to the University of Utah’s undergraduate and graduate recruitment and admissions offices.
11. Support recruitment events and efforts hosted by Central Campus Office of Admissions.
12. Serve on College of Nursing committees.
13. Must possess the ability to independently travel to community locations frequently.
14. Other duties as assigned.
