About the Opportunity

Ellucian Company LLC has an opening for a full-time Manager - Software Engineering in Reston, VA 20191. Duties include actively participate in reviewing and estimating requirements. Direct work of the team, keeping engineers aligned, engaged, and focused. Provide general oversight of development plans, target dates, progress, and quality. Support the team's use of Agile Scrum, striving for continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to architectural governance strategies. Define, review, and drive organization policies and procedures. Collaborate with peers on cross-team projects. Conduct performance reviews, salary reviews, and provide individual coaching and mentoring. Annual salary: $233,230 & 100% remote position - home/telecommuting benefits available. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor's or its foreign equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or related engineering discipline. Higher degree accepted but not required plus 60 months' experience in software development using at least 3 of the following: Cloud Platforms (AWS, Google, or Microsoft), SaaS solutions , NodeJS, React or Angular, HTML5, CSS and WCAG/Accessibility standard. Must have 2 years experience in each of the following: managing or leading software development efforts, performing code reviews and overseeing projects; working and communicating with senior leaders, planning product development, refining software features; reviewing and triaging security threats and/or vulnerabilities, managing risks and conducting mitigation plans; with DevOps processes including CI/CD and Git SCM; working in an Agile software development setting.
