Job Description  | The Marketing Manager of Content and Strategy will support the execution of omni-channel marketing campaigns across all Syracuse Athletics, with a focus on driving fan engagement, ticket sales, and donor revenue. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role will assist in developing campaign strategy while leading the creation, coordination, and distribution of content across email, social media, and web platforms.

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and data-informed someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple campaigns at once. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams and external partners to produce content, tracking campaign performance, identifying key insights, and providing strategic recommendations to optimize results. This position is critical to enhancing the visibility of Syracuse Athletics, deepening fan engagement, and supporting revenue-generating initiatives.

Education and Experience  | Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing or related roles, preferably with experience supporting multi-channel marketing campaigns. Experience with content creation, social media management, email marketing platforms, and web analytics is preferred but not required. Familiarity with sports marketing or collegiate athletics is a plus.

Skills and Knowledge  | Strong digital marketing expertise with strategic knowledge of social media, SEO, and paid, earned, and owned media. Excellent communication, proofreading, and editing skills with a clear understanding of marketing messaging. Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns, meet deadlines, and exceed goals. Creative storyteller with experience in content creation and persuasive messaging. Proficient with email marketing, web platforms, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office. Effective interpersonal skills to align teams and manage projects with attention to detail.

Responsibilities  | Plan, develop, and implement simultaneous paid media strategies to convert audience to directly. Purchase and/or drive new leads through appropriate channels including but not limited to email, web and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). Create, implement, manage and optimize dynamic email campaigns through identifying target audiences, maintaining and updating emails lists, building and launching campaigns, and developing effective content marketing strategies to increase subscriber lists. Analyze campaign performance through evaluating key measurables including Cost Associated per Lead, Online Marketing ROI (return on investment), Customer Conversion Rates, ROAS (return on ad spend), Cost Per Acquisition (CPA), web traffic and more. Assist in the creation, execution, and distribution of all sales and marketing materials for Syracuse Athletics ticket offerings, donation solicitations, events, communications, and experiences. Other duties as assigned.
