Job Description  | As a Research Analytics Specialist, you’ll play a hands-on role across brand strategy, media buying, and market research for the University’s Enterprise Marketing & Research team. This full-time position works closely with the Marketing Analyst and the Director of Enterprise Marketing & Research to design and run both quantitative and qualitative studies, from programming and fielding surveys to supporting focus groups and interviews, then dig into the results to identify the key findings and themes that matter.

Beyond individual studies, you’ll collect, analyze, and interpret research and analytics data more broadly, turning it into clear, reliable reports for internal partners and external stakeholders across the University. Your work will directly inform brand strategy conversations, helping ensure the University’s positioning and messaging stay grounded in sound research rather than guesswork. You’ll also support media buying strategy by evaluating performance data and shaping recommendations that guide planning decisions.

As you grow into the role, you’ll take on greater ownership of research projects and analytics reporting from start to finish, becoming a more consistent point of contact for internal partners — a natural next step as you build deeper expertise in the University’s research and marketing landscape.
Education and Experience  | Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, statistics, data science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in marketing research (quantitative and/or qualitative), analytics, or a related field.
Skills and Knowledge  | Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative market research methods, including survey design and programming, sampling, and moderating or supporting focus groups and interviews Working knowledge of basic principles of data science and statistics, including the ability to identify meaningful patterns and themes in research data Demonstrable ability to use common productivity software, including spreadsheets, for data collection and analysis Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple research projects and deadlines simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable insights Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, cross-functional work groups, including close partnership with the Marketing Analyst and Director of Enterprise Marketing and Research Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for a broad range of marketing functions, including brand strategy and media buying Proficiency with data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) preferred Familiarity with survey platforms such as Qualtrics preferred
Responsibilities  | Assist the Marketing Analyst and Director of Enterprise Marketing and Research with the implementation and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative market research studies, including survey programming and fielding, and supporting qualitative sessions such as focus groups and interviews. Collect, analyze, and interpret marketing research and analytics data, producing clear and actionable reports for internal partners and external stakeholders. Includes reporting out to small and large groups. Support brand strategy initiatives by synthesizing research findings into big-picture insights that inform University brand positioning and messaging. Assist with media buying strategy by evaluating media performance data and providing recommendations to optimize media investments. Maintain and organize research and analytics documentation and data sources, ensuring accuracy and accessibility across the team.
