Job Summary
The College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University is seeking a talented Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Marketing Specialist, you will play an integral role in conceptualizing and producing stories, social media content, web content, and other materials that promote the College of Liberal Arts and engage stakeholders, including students, faculty, alumni, higher education peers, and the broader community. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the promotion of liberal arts education as a member of our creative team.
 
This is a hybrid position with a combination of remote and on-site work based on business need.

Required:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, publications, or related field.
  • One year of professional writing and content creation experience across digital mediums.
  • In lieu of a degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience. (Associate's degree + 3 years of experience or High School Diploma/GED + 5 years of experience).
 
Skills Needed:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and understanding of how information is interconnected.
  • Highly organized with solid time management skills and an understanding of how to manage multiple deadlines and evolving responsibilities.
  • Ability to synthesize information to write compelling and engaging stories.
  • Willing to explore and learn new software and platforms for social media.
  • Customer service orientation with a “can-do” attitude and professional demeanor.
