National Learning and Development Senior Manager

Job Summary:
The People & Culture Senior Manager, L&D will be responsible for implementing innovative training strategies, while overseeing and evaluating the Firm’s learning programs. This role requires collaborating with all key stakeholders in designing, developing, and implementing the continuous learning curriculum and training delivery methods for intern through principals that span group live, virtual, and a variety of blended learning offerings. The Senior Manager works with the National Learning and Development Director of Design and Development to ensure an engaging employee experience through effective learning, training, and communications.
Job Duties:
- Partners with stakeholders to create and execute transformational training strategies that align with industry learning standards, BDOs overall firm strategy, and employee development needs
- Applies learning knowledge to oversee the development, administration, and delivery of learning solutions
- Conducts needs assessments and performs analysis to identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed through training or learning solutions
- Utilizes evaluation data to measure impact, assess effectiveness to determine the impact of learning solutions, how it impacts KPIs, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Implements innovative strategies to increase the effectiveness of training and ensures all professionals are provided with innovative learning solutions
- Defines and communicates responsibilities, learning process, expectations, and resources to stakeholder
- Assists stakeholders to define and communicate connection between core competencies, job specific competencies and learning solutions
- Develops and/or reviews communications, learning and development trainings and tools, and/or other documents, such as practice aids and information to support learning and development
- Identifies employee experience opportunities and integrates people strategies within the culture of learning and development
- Oversees the design, development and implementation of new employee training and onboarding
- Maintains and provides guidance regarding the learning methodology tools, keeping them current regarding changes in the professional standards set by regulators and professional organizations, and ensuring they remain effective in learning theory and in supporting the success of the professionals
- Assists in mentoring National Learning and Development team members to discover areas for growth, while ensuring they have the resources needed and everyone is working towards a common goal
- Partners with People & Culture and operating leaders to develop an understanding of organization dynamics and key business priorities; in order to build and refine actionable plans and toolkits designed to enable the overall effectiveness of the people
- Champions the employee experience, DEI, and our culture; and ensures talent programs are strategically aligned
- Partners with Marketing team to create training plans that align with communication strategies
- Participates on professional committees
- Applies relevant regulations and standards and the BDO Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct with honesty and integrity
- Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Acts as a Career Advisor to associates, seniors and managers as assigned
- Provides verbal and written performance reviews to associates, seniors and managers as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree, or higher, required; focus in Training and Development, Human Resources Development, Education, or Organizational Psychology, preferred
Experience:
- Three (3) or more years of experience managing project teams delivering training and development solutions, required
- Ten (10) years of experience designing and delivering learning solutions, required
- Prior work experience in learning and development or related field, required
- Prior supervisory experience, preferred
- Prior consulting or professional services experience, preferred
Software:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, required

- Strong leadership and management skills
- Superior written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to execute with strong project management skills, including creating and monitoring work-plans, as well as excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and effectively structure ambiguity
- Ability to lead initiatives, resolve complex business issues and move solutions to the next level
- Ability to communicate ideas and insights in person, virtually and in writing, succinctly and with impact
- Ability to interact effectively and build strong relationships with people at all organizational levels of the Firm
- Ability to multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
- Capable of adapting and being flexible as conditions change
- Ability to productively collaborate and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to encourage team environment on projects and initiatives
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $115,000 - $125,000
Maryland Range: $115,000 - $125,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $115,000 - $125,000
