Network Engineer IV Full Description

Overview: 
The Network Engineer IV supports the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) Academic Network Labor Contract to administer, maintain, secure, and accredit the DLIFLC Academic Network which provides the IT environment for 100% of the DLIFLC teaching and instructing for all students, staff, faculty, and guests in a learning environment at the unclassified level. Responsibilities: 
· Responsibilities include wired and wireless network performance monitoring, network optimization, testing, IT project management, implementation of network security controls, advanced troubleshooting and analyzing all elements of the network infrastructure.
· Background in Team Management, Project Leadership, Network.
· Academic Network Administration: Ensures the datacenter operates 24x7 with DoD-directed updates and security patches1.
· Academic Network Performance Monitoring: Monitor, document, and control the Academic Network performance for response, throughput, and availability1.
· Academic Network Internet Hardware and Software Issues: Identify and resolve hardware and software issues related to the commercial network’s wireless and hardwired elements1.
· Academic Network Improvements and Enhancements: Identify opportunities and solutions for improving efficiencies with emerging technologies1.
· Academic Network Internet IP Addressing and DNS Management: Manage the Academic Network internet IP addressing schemes to ensure maximum availability
· Academic Network Cybersecurity: Manage the Cybersecurity Network and Boundary Defense, Intrusion Detection tools and Techniques, and Incident Response.
· Academic Network Cybersecurity Practices: Research, recommend, and implement best business practices for controlling and monitoring access to the Academic Network. Qualifications: 

Required:
· BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years experience in Network Engineering or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years experience.
· Require anyone of the following IAT Level II (CySA+, Security+, CND, or SSCP) Certification and CE/OS Certification.
· Specialized experience requirements include 7 years of progressive experience in computer system/network engineering, including 2 years of specialized experience related to the tasks.
· Secret Clearance
 
Salary Range: $120,000 - $155,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline. Integral Federal considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
