Department Overview: 
 | Madison Youth Choirs includes singers of all experience levels, annually serving more than 1,000 young people, ages 7-18, and over 20,000 audience members through a wide variety of choral programs. Cultivating a comprehensive music education philosophy that inspires self-confidence, personal responsibility, and a spirit of inquiry leading students to become “expert noticers,” MYC creates accessible, meaningful opportunities for youth to thrive in the arts and beyond.MYC regularly collaborates with a diverse range of local organizations, including Madison Symphony Orchestra, Madison Opera, Opera for the Young, Madison Bach Musicians, Mt. Zion Youth Choir, Madison Choral Project, The Road Home, and the Hmong Language & Culture Enrichment Program. Schedule: 
 | The position starts late August or early September and runs through May, 2026, with the possibility of extending into next summer.6-8 hours/week, with a required set schedule for Sundays, our rehearsal day, likely 1PM - 9PMMYC often has additional weekend hours available to help staff extended rehearsals, events, and concerts. If these opportunities are available the dates will be shared in advance. 

Salary/Wage Range: 
 | Hourly $15.00 to $15.00

 | Bring your energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity for arts operations/administration, and music education to Madison Youth Choirs (MYC) this next school year! You will be part of a team supporting our weekly rehearsals and conducting staff on Sundays in setting up rooms, preparing equipment and supplies, welcoming and supporting our singers and families while promoting the positive, collaborative ethos of MYC throughout MYArts, our home.
