Job Summary/Basic Function  | NOTE: This position is a Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health position located in Salt Lake City. Must be a current Weber State University employee to be considered for this position.

Oversee and execute the day-to-day operations of the OSHA Outreach Trainer Program, ensuring efficient delivery and program growth in alignment with university and OSHA standards.

Duties and basic job function include, but are not limited to: Coordinate, manage, and monitor all aspects of the OSHA Outreach Training Program in accordance with OSHA policies, procedures, and requirements. Review, evaluate, and make decisions regarding approval or denial of submitted Outreach Trainer Verification Forms (PVF) and the Update forms based on their qualifications. Serve as the primary point of contact for OSHA Outreach Trainers regarding program rules, updates, and procedures, and exercising independent judgment to resolve issues involving training, compliance, and reporting. Track Outreach Trainer authorization expiration dates, manage reminder notifications, and ensure trainers remain current with required Update courses. Assess trainer support needs and develop and/or provide training, guidance, and resources to ensure compliance and program success. Identify, document, and report potential noncompliance or irregularities to OSHA in accordance with program requirements. Conduct quarterly record audits and coordinate required class observations per OSHA’s program requirements. Prepare regular reports on program activity, trainer status, and card issuance. Oversee Outreach Budget. Other assigned duties by the RMCOEH CE Director

Required Qualifications  | Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of related experience. Related experience may include program development, team management, or other applicable areas.
Preferred Qualifications  | Preferred: Familiarity with virtual meeting software such as Zoom and WebEx. Knowledge of Programs and operational processes in WSU’s Continuing Education Division. The ability to quickly learn new software programs and applications. Detail-oriented. Works well with others in an office environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
