Posting Summary  | About AHEC: VT AHEC is a statewide network of academic and community partners working together to increase the supply, geographic distribution, and education of Vermont’s health workforce. Through its workforce development activities and collective impact, the VT AHEC Network aims to improve access to quality primary and preventive health services for all Vermonters. VT AHEC works across the health workforce pipeline from middle school students to practicing health professionals.

This health workforce development position will inform and support students’ interest in high-demand health-related fields in Vermont through education and training programs.Design, manage, and teach/lead health careers exploration and job preparation programs with middle school, high school, and undergraduate students. The education, training, outreach, and collaboration activities occur in community, school, and college settings in Chittenden County. This position includes aspects of planning, curriculum design, partnership building, program delivery, and program evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)  | · A bachelor’s degree and two to four years of related experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Curriculum design and planning experience. Experience as an educator, trainer, or train-the-trainer instructor.· Professional experience in the healthcare or education sectors.· Enthusiasm for working with youth and students.· Effective organizational and management skills to coordinate and deliver programs.· Demonstrated ability to attend to detail.· Effective communication skills; including an ability to interact well with others in one-on-one, classroom, and group settings, and an ability to make presentations to groups of varying sizes.· Ability to use discretion regarding disclosure/dissemination/security of confidential/sensitive information.· Effective time-management skills and ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.· Experience with assessment and program evaluation skills for planning and directing continuous improvement.· Facility working with technology, such as Microsoft Office suite, video conference, webinars, and online educational tools.· Attention to detail and commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Desirable Qualifications  | Professional credential/certification in a health care area.
Anticipated Pay Range  | $62,000-$67,000
Other Information  | Use of a personal vehicle (regular travel in Chittenden County, occasional travel statewide).
Regular evening meetings, occasional weekend events.
Be able to lift 30 lbs. to transport materials and/or equipment as needed.
Special Conditions  | A probationary period may be required, Contingent on continued funding, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Travel to and from worksites required, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
