Wilson Language training is growing and is looking to hire an Outside Sales Director.

Job Summary:
The Outside Sales Director will oversee and lead the activities of the Field Sales Team. This position will contribute to the growth of Wilson by consistently achieving sales targets and successfully managing the sales team. The Outside Sales Director will outline and communicate sales targets, delegate tasks, and ensure that staff performance meets the Wilson standards of excellence.

The ideal candidate must be willing to travel and will have strong leadership attributes, customer-centric with a demonstrated track record for achieving and preferably achieving sales targets.

Essential Job Functions:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Hires and trains sales staff.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of regional and local sales managers.
  • Organizes timely training for the Sales team as needed.
  • Provides training, coaching and feedback to the sales staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership to the sales team.
  • Achieve company growth and hitting sales targets through successful management of the field sales team.
  • Collaborate with the Sales department Leadership to discuss modifications and improvements to the sales plan and process.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to support existing customers and to acquire new customers to increase sales.
  • Develop sales plans that are aligned with organizational strategies and business objectives.
  • Assigns territories and sets quotas for sales teams.
  • Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure quotas are met.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Maintains a solid relationship with new and existing customers in support of the regional Sales Account Executive.
  • Provide timely sales support to customers as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
  • Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  • Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.
  • Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Understand and display WLT’s values.

Minimum Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the exceptional ability to lead and manage a sales team.
  • Ability to delegate tasks per the capabilities of the employees on the team.
  • Demonstrated record for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experienced in the analysis of Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ability to develop result-oriented sales techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills.
  • Outstanding problem-solver.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Business Administration, or related field, OR
  • Established record of sales leadership experience required.
  • At least three years working as a Field Sales Manager or a similar role.

Wilson has identified the anticipated pay range for this role based on the many factors that we consider in defining compensation levels for our roles, including market data, and internal equity considerations. Actual pay, and allocation between base and any target discretionary bonus, will vary based on geographic location, education, work experience, skills, market data, and internal equity considerations.
