JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Behrend's School of Engineering is seeking applicants for Part-Time Consultant - Game Design and Deployment Support.
Job duties to include:
  • Providing technical support for game design and development activities using Unity.
  • Assisting with the implementation and refinement of gameplay mechanics, user interfaces, and interactive learning elements.
  • Supporting deployment, testing, debugging, and maintenance of the game environment across development stages.
  • Assisting with repository management, version control, and collaborative workflows through GitHub.
  • Advising the research team on best practices for scalable and maintainable game architecture.
  • Supporting troubleshooting and technical problem resolution during development and deployment.
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
  • The consultant should possess demonstrated experience in Unity-based game development, software deployment workflows, and GitHub collaboration tools. Experience supporting educational games, simulation-based learning environments, or interdisciplinary research projects is preferred. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are expected, as the consultant will work closely with faculty and student researchers.
Schedule:
  • Approximately 10 hours per week
Compensation: $20/hr
