Pay Range Information
Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.
Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the PI, the research assistant will provide research support to ongoing projects and grants related to cognitive neuroscience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing various research-related activities; data entry; conducting literature reviews and compiling findings; maintaining project-related documentation and records; assisting with participant recruitment, trainings, and behavioral assessments; gathering EEG, TMS, eye-tracking, and other neural and behavioral data; analyzing data; writing up presentations, and manuscripts.

Lab Support & Data Analysis
Mentoring undergraduate students Organizing and presiding over undergraduate lab meetings Assisting with participant recruitment, trainings, and behavioral assessments Gathering and analyzing EEG, TMS, eye-tracking, and other neural and behavioral data
Required Qualifications
BA/BS degree in psychology, health sciences, cognitive science, philosophy, neuroscience, or similar background and experience 2+ years of prior research experience, including knowledge of research methods and terminology Demonstrated experience in data collection and data entry Demonstrated analytical skills: define problems by performing research and fact finding Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing Working knowledge of Excel. Experience working with Qualtrics, Mechanical Turk, Prolific, or similar survey software Willingness to work as a supportive, cooperative member of an interdisciplinary team Experience with or strong willingness to learn programming Ability to work independently
Desired Qualifications | Experience in a psychology or neuroscience lab using EEG, TMS and eye-tracking equipment
