Job Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Researcher, you'll play a critical role in helping the Education Solutions division develop an informed approach to how its products will shape the future of education. You will work closely with the Director, Research and across different teams with diverse products, bringing an empathetic, curious mindset, and advocate for students, teachers, and education leaders, by using our research to help guide design and product decisions. The part-time researcher is scheduled to work 21 hours per week. This role may require up to 35 hours some weeks depending on departmental needs. This is a temporary, non-benefits-eligible position through May 31, 2026.
This role reports directly to the Director, Research in the Education Solutions group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently facilitate qualitative and quantitative research, including remote and in-person user interviews, creating and managing surveys, and crafting and running unmoderated studies.
- Contributing to all facets of research, including taking notes during interviews, providing analysis, creating insight videos/clips, coordinating and managing user recruitment, and making informed recommendations based on our insights.
- Developing and presenting progress reports, requirements, documentation and presentations that synthesize research in compelling and inspiring ways.
- Translating insights into actions and requirements to help define project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Creating and presenting actionable research insights to cross-functional teams in creative and effective ways.

Qualifications
HOW YOU CAN FIT (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with a focus on human behavior, design, or UX (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3-5 years of direct experience in qualitative user research.
- Experience in market research preferred.
- Work experience in the PreK-12 education market and understanding of the PreK-12 ed tech market/landscape.
- Understanding of current Ed Tech best practices and have a strong knowledge of Universal Design for Learning.
- Strong knowledge of qualitative research and design tools, such as UserZoom/UserTesting, Qualtrics, and Figma.
- Up-to-date knowledge of research and UX standards, best practices, and emerging trends and technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (i.e. storytelling and documentation) to bring teammates, cross-functional colleagues, and stakeholders together.
- Effective time management skills.
- Able to work effectively whether remote or in-office.
