JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Smeal College of Business, Marketing Department is seeking applicants for part-time teaching assistant openings for MKTG 472 - Strategic Brand with Dr. Hmurovic.

Job duties to include:

  • Grading and grade management and grading end of term projects
  • Proctoring exams
  • Attending class in-person, documenting and summarizing participation and activity engagement
  • Content review/updating (e.g., identifying recent examples in news, updating lecture slides elements, creating Canvas content)

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

  • Junior or higher, has excelled in prior business courses
  • Strong preference for students who have already completed MKTG 472
  • Academic integrity and the ability to maintain student confidentiality is required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be reliable and organized, and good time management skills

Schedule:

  • Monday and Wednesday sec 001 1:00-2:25; 002 2:30-3:45; and sec 003 4:00-5:15pm
  • One TA per section and able to attend class for exam and project days
  • Estimated 5 hours per week
  • Be able to start early Aug to assist with class prep
