JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park invites applications for two part-time teaching assistants to start in fall 2026. The successful candidates will assist Dr. Brian Lee for up to 10 hours per week during the academic semester.

Job Duties:

  • Answering student questions
  • Hosting office hours (three hours per week)
  • Grading assignments (typically biweekly)
  • Searching the business press for teaching materials
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student at Penn State
  • Completion of MIS 301 at Penn State or a similar course at a comparable institution
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (e.g., Excel VBA)
  • Good knowledge of MS Access, Gephi, and Tableau

Compensation:

Starting rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.
