ClassLink is seeking a Partner Solutions Engineer to join our growing Partner Services team.
The Partner Solutions Engineer is the primary technical guide for vendors, districts, and state agencies integrating with ClassLink’s OneData platform and Ed-Fi–based solutions. You’ll own the end-to-end onboarding journey: from scoping and data mapping through certification and post-launch validation, ensuring every partner achieves a fast, seamless, standards-aligned connection. Working alongside partner relationship managers, product teams, and state education agencies, you will champion best practices, resolve complex data challenges, and elevate ClassLink’s reputation as the most integration-friendly platform in EdTech.
You will also help local and state education agencies interpret data outputs and use integrations strategically, to improve data quality, simplify reporting, and drive instructional and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Onboarding & Support: Lead vendors through API authentication, Ed-Fi/OneRoster data mapping, LMS and SIS alignment, SSO configuration (SAML, OAuth2/OIDC), and validation testing. Simultaneously guide school and state agency partners through OneData onboarding, ensuring secure, complete, and accurate data flows from SIS to downstream systems.
- Solution Design & Implementation: Evaluate partner, district, and state requirements; propose scalable architectures; and develop lightweight scripts, tools, or proof-of-concepts to accelerate adoption and solve roadblocks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate partner feedback into roadmap priorities, resolve technical blockers, and embed new tooling into scalable onboarding playbooks.
- Documentation & Training: Create and maintain robust integration guides, API request samples, troubleshooting FAQs, and video walkthroughs for vendors and agencies. Encourage self-service through high-quality, living documentation.
- Standards Advocacy: Serve as a technical evangelist for Ed-Fi, OneRoster, and open-data interoperability. Contribute to industry working groups and facilitate partner sessions that build ecosystem trust.
- Analytics & Data Strategy: Assist LEA and SEA stakeholders in interpreting data outputs from OneData and connected tools (e.g., LMS, assessments, analytics platforms). Help identify trends, improve data quality, and inform strategic initiatives like attendance intervention or curriculum alignment.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement: Track onboarding challenges, propose refinements to reduce time-to-integration, and contribute reusable templates and code that streamline future engagements.
NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may be asked to perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
