We are seeking a Partnership Manager, California to serve as the central connector between ASU's headquarters' teams and the regional specialists working on the ground across California's community colleges. Every day you will make a difference in the lives of others by working at the intersection of strategy and execution: translating field-level insights from college staff and students into actionable resources, materials, and programs that specialists can deploy at the individual college level.

You will work closely with ASU's Marketing, Enrollment/Recruitment, and Operations teams to develop outreach strategies, build partner-facing content, coordinate webinar programming, and lead initiatives such as the Transfer Ambassador program to ensure that regional efforts are well-resourced, consistently branded, and aligned with statewide goals.

You can be based at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, or Los Angeles, CA, and will be required to spend approximately 30% of your time on travel, particularly during Fall and Spring semesters.

Essential Duties:

Resource Development & Marketing

  • Serve as the liaison between field specialists and ASU's central Marketing, Enrollment, and Operations teams, translating partner and student needs into actionable content and communication strategies.

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the suite of student- and partner-facing outreach and marketing resources deployed by regional specialists at the campus level — including presentations, promotional materials, digital assets, flyers, and transfer-focused content — ensuring alignment with CCCAP messaging and ASU branding standards. This includes development and ongoing maintenance of a CCC partner-facing digital resource hub.

  • Identify gaps in available resources, initiate the creation of new assets, and maintain an accurate inventory to ensure Regional Specialists have the materials they need.

  • Design and develop a Transfer Ambassador program framework — leveraging current ASU students who transferred from California Community Colleges — that regional specialists can deploy to support recruitment efforts and bring authentic student stories to marketing and outreach materials.

Partner Engagement & Field Coverage

  • Develop a strong working understanding of the needs, structures, and priorities of California Community College partners — including advisors, transfer center staff, and marketing departments — to inform resource development and outreach strategy.

  • Provide direct, on-the-ground partnership coverage (as needed) for colleges in territories where a specialist is not assigned, a position is temporarily vacant, or additional support is needed for large-scale events or initiatives.

  • Build and maintain relationships with a strategic portfolio of California Community College partners, ensuring continuity of engagement and a consistent ASU presence across the state.

  • Help manage the CCCAP email inbox, in partnership with the Regional Specialist, to ensure inquiries are responded to or routed to the correct resource.

  • May supervise staff or students as needed.

Event Programming & Webinars

  • Design and develop scalable event formats, such as campus activation days and advisor convenings, that drive awareness of ASU Online transfer pathways among students and college partners across California; support operationalization of these events in partnership with Regional Specialists.

  • Develop and manage a recurring webinar calendar for California Community College transfer advisors and prospective students, including presentation development, scheduling, promotion across 100+ transfer centers, and post-session tracking.

  • Coordinate event promotions and logistics in partnership with web, marketing, and enrollment teams; provide on-site support for large-scale regional events as needed.

Territory Strategy & Specialist Support

  • Support the development and maintenance of a territory-based outreach strategy, identifying priority colleges based on enrollment opportunity, relationship strength, and geographic coverage gaps.

  • Train, support, and provide ongoing guidance to Regional Specialists on visit processes, school prioritization, ASU program positioning, and territory management.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Reporting

  • Collaborate with internal ASU stakeholders, including EdPlus departments, campus recruitment teams, ASU Local, ASU California, and others, to support alignment across all California partnership activities.

  • Contribute to the development of performance metrics and data tracking frameworks that measure the effectiveness of outreach and partnership activities; synthesize field insights and engagement data into regular reports and actionable recommendations for leadership decision-making.

  • Contribute to the design of a CRM system for California Community College partnerships, providing field-informed input during development and serving as an active user once the system is in place.

  • Participate in stakeholder meetings, program evaluations, and continuous improvement planning; provide regular updates to leadership on field insights, resource needs, and partnership health.

Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed, some of which may be outside of California-focused work.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.

  • Experience working with community colleges, higher education partnerships, or statewide systems.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of California Community College transfer systems.

  • Experience in or with student-facing roles (e.g., advising, transfer, enrollment).

  • Experience in a supervisory role managing others.

  • Experience managing multi-institution partnerships or initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution.

  • Experience with program development (events, webinars, ambassador programs).

  • Experience in creating marketing or outreach materials.

  • Demonstrated strong relationship management, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Evidence of familiarity with CRM systems and data tracking.

  • Evidence of ability to travel regionally within California on a frequent basis.

NOTE: Please answer the following questions in your cover letter:

  • How do you build and maintain strong relationships with external partners while also coordinating internally with marketing, enrollment, or operations teams? Please share a specific example that demonstrates your approach and results.

  • Describe your experience building or improving recruitment and outreach systems (e.g., processes, tools, resource hubs, or communication workflows). How did you ensure these systems were strategic, scalable, and effective in supporting recruitment goals? What outcomes did you achieve?
