Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Assistant Director of Annual Giving will work to promote a culture of philanthropy with the University of Kentucky’s students, as well as work with campus partners in the collaborations with the Office of Annual Giving. The successful candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have strong interpersonal skills. The Assistant Director will work closely with students, other members of the Annual Giving and UK Philanthropy staff as well as with partners across the university to perform these primary responsibilities:

  •  Work with student volunteers, interns, workers, and student organizations to oversee all aspects of the Center for Student Philanthropy. Advise and manage the Student Philanthropy Board. Coordinate with student groups as well as with other UK Philanthropy staff to program a variety of events to strengthen the culture of philanthropy. Manage the annual Thank-A-Donor Day event.

  • Work with other annual giving staff to plan and implement a multi-channel solicitation and stewardship strategy.

  • Serve as the liaison between Annual Giving and the UK Alumni Association and Annual Giving and campus partners with regard to student philanthropy.

  • Serve as a liaison for campus partners with regard to unit, program, and college specific direct mail pieces. Manage, edit, and review data, text and art for these mail pieces, as well as coordinate production with third party vendor/s.
