Job Description
SUMMARY: The Placement Coordinator, a contractor role, is responsible for contacting students and their families to conduct placement conferences, graduation plan reviews, transcript evaluations, and collecting documentation required to finalize course placement activities as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
· Assist families with understanding the documents needed to complete placement and provide guidance on how to obtain these documents
· Become familiar with specific state and school graduation requirements for all schools assigned and organize and assimilate updates as they occur
· Become familiar with international education systems and foreign academic documents to properly translate international transcripts and/or report cards for students transferring into a US based school
· Complete domestic and international transcript and/or report card evaluations and select appropriate courses based upon this review in accordance with state and school graduation requirements as needed
· Appropriately document phone conversations and email communications with students and families within Stride tools and databases
· Prioritize assigned caseloads and complete placements within a given time frame
· Analyze information, identify potential problem areas, and contact the Lead Placement Coordinator to assist with resolving issues
· Follow proper school procedures and maintain accuracy while working across multiple schools simultaneously
· Assist team members as needed
· Participate in team meetings and required trainings
· Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in education or related field of study AND
· Six (6) months of customer service experience OR
· Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates and Licenses: None required.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Available to work weekends and evenings as needed
· Prioritize tasks and complete them within a given time frame
· Effective verbal and written communications skills
· Work independently with minimal guidance
· Office 365 and web proficiency.
· Ability to clear required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Prior experience as a Placement Counselor
· Academic Counselor certification

  • Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. 
  • We anticipate this position will pay $15.00 - $17.64 per hour. This is a temporary/contractor role, and you will be an employee of Randstad. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
