Department Overview:
The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology- ased services and solutions enabling OHSU to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.
ITG employees are responsible for the security of OHSU technology. In exercising their duties, ITG employees
must follow OHSU's security directives, incorporating security measures in the delivery of their everyday tasks, and are required to report security concerns to the OHSU Integrity Office and/or the ITG Security Engineering team.
This position will apply knowledge and best practices to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex enterprise software systems, ensuring they are scalable and efficient. It is an advanced level position
that helps to formulate, influence, and implement software decisions and policies. It requires independent completion of work and decision making, and the ability to solve complex issues and problems. Function/Duties of Position:
System Analysis and Design:
- Architect, develop, and implement scalable and high-performance applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure interoperability and data consistency across integrated systems.
- Identify and evaluate new software technologies, industry trends and strategies to improve productivity and quality.
- Design and build integration between internal and external systems ensuring scalability, optimal performance, and secure data exchange.
Technical Team Leadership:
- Lead the design and development of complex integrated software solutions.
- Mentor analysts and developers in best practices for software requirements, architecture, and design.
- Collaborate with developers and engineers to adapt to new technologies and implement best practices for software design, development, testing, and support.
Development and Support:
- Debug and test programs to identify and fix errors, solve compatibility issues, add more features, and make structural changes.
- Develop and facilitate testing and quality assurance strategies to ensure quality solutions and identify areas for improvement.
- Design, implement, and support integrations utilizing REST, SOAP API’s, HL7, and EDI protocols.
This position may perform other duties as directed by ITG management.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and ten years work related experience in the information technology field; OR
- Associate’s degree in computer science or related field and 12 years work related experience in the information technology field; OR
- 15 years work related experience in the information technology field
Experience:
- Experience as a technical team lead in an organization providing design, development, and production support services for the Oracle eBusiness suite and related enterprise applications.
- Experience in software architecture and design to deliver complex workflow solutions that integrate multiple on premise and cloud systems.
- Experience applying best practices for quality assurance and testing support in a software development environment - Experience managing enterprise software projects.
- Experience with web services, PL/SQL, REST/SOAP API’s, EDI, HL7 and other integration technologies
- Experience with enterprise custom application development lifecycle
Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies):
- General functional and technical understanding of Oracle eBusiness Suite applications.
- Expert level skills with leading cross-functional teams through requirements analysis for complex highly integrated OLTP solutions.
- Experience with architecture and design of workflow enabled OLTP applications, system interfaces, and user interfaces, using relational database, workflow, and browser-based user interfaces.
- Knowledge of Oracle Applications Framework and extension concepts.
- Experience designing solutions that adhere to security standards for web-based applications.
- Experience with data modeling for OLTP applications, best practices in data governance, and master data management.
- Experience with project management concepts and methods.
- knowledge of software development life cycle and production environment support procedures in an Oracle applications environment.
- Knowledge of quality assurance best practices in a software development environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while being collaborative in resolving problems.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills both on the phone and in person.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a major ERP upgrade to cloud ERP applications
- Experience with Boomi API Management
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts.
- Experience with APEX UI solution design.
