About the Opportunity
As a Principal SaaS Extensibility Consultant (Principal Consultant), you will be responsible to provide a clear path in getting our customers integration projects live in their SaaS environment. This will include steps that cover identification, prioritization, and categorization of all of the Client’s integrations. This will include any integrations that you identify during their journey to get live in their SaaS environment. In addition, you will play the Ellucian brand ambassador role and suggest Ellucian Products that the client can leverage in case they are building the integrations. For the integration projects that our clients decide to develop, you will leverage your strong integration and architecture experience in clearing any roadblocks (for e.g. educating/assisting the Client on identifying Ellucian products, providing architectural support in these products if needed). You will use your soft skills to also liaison with various Ellucian teams or our partners to ensure they are on target to meet Client go live deadlines and work with the Project Manager to track the integrations progress to completion.

- Stay current with Ellucian applications.
- Educate Clients on capabilities and usage of Ellucian’s SaaS Extensibility product toolset via Workshops or Zoom sessions.
- Works effectively and individually with Technical and Functional teams to convert customer needs into business and technical requirements.
- Works with various technical teams and project managers to aid in developing the overall project plan.
- Document and maintain business requirements for Ellucian Extensibility projects.
- Identify automation opportunities as needed.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated experience in Oracle and Postgres database applications.
- Demonstrated experience in web service development and integration patterns using REST, Request/Reply and Pub/Sub models.
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in JavaScript, React and Node JS.
- A minimum of 10 years of technical experience working in a software development field.
- Exhibits a strong sense of ownership for individual work assignments.
- Strong communication and analytical skills with demonstrable presentation and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience working independently with little direction to achieve team and project goals, as well as a desire and ability to work remotely in a team environment via phone or other electronic communication tools.
- Possesses an established, effective method for tracking and completing tasks on time.
- Experience working within a collaborative team-based work environment.
- The successful candidate must be a disciplined self-starter, able to work on multiple projects concurrently, and must be able to meet or exceed deadlines for customer and internal deliverables.
- The successful candidate must also be able to collaborate effectively and willingly and must be an engaged and interactive member of a large and very experienced team.
- Proven ability to use appropriate skills in the areas of; project coordination, multi-tasking, prioritization of demands, conflict management, decision making tools & techniques, group discussion, training, facilitation, decision-making, communication, and time management.
- Demonstrated experience in consulting and/or training and development; system implementation, and requirements gathering is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills with demonstrably credibility and experience in the subject matter, as well as gravitas to influence senior client stakeholders at client site and industry events.
- Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team.
