Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Lead and execute substantial software development projects in collaboration with product owners, focusing on delivering high-quality i-Ready user experiences. 
  • Collaborate with architects and distinguished engineers to design secure, reliable software services and modules that ensure a seamless customer experience at scale. 
  • Embrace a continuous improvement approach by conducting thorough code and design reviews and advocating for the adoption of advanced productivity tools. 
  • Promote and implement efficiencies in software development and delivery practices, ensuring optimized workflows. 
  • Maintain a strong awareness of security best practices, serving as subject matter expert on security, facilitating the adoption of standard flows. 
  • Communicate effectively across teams through both verbal and written channels, fostering alignment and supporting cross-team goals. 
  • Mentor peers to encourage personal and professional growth within the team. 
  • Engage in proactive learning initiatives to continually enhance both functional and technical knowledge. 

Required Skills and Abilities: 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Expert-level proficiency in multiple frameworks and programming languages, particularly focusing on Java/J2EE technologies. 
  • Extensive experience in implementing authentication and authorization of services, with a strong understanding of standards such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML. 
  • Proven expertise in delivering cloud-hosted containerized services at scale using Docker and AWS technologies. 
  • Solid experience in an Agile environment, specifically with Scrum methodologies. 

Required Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. 
  • 10+ years of experience in web application development, demonstrating a robust background in the field. 

Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $126,750. - $233,750. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
