Procurement Coor/Contract Admini I Full Description

Position Summary
Procures commodities and services of moderate complexity and administers contracts within a framework of maintaining perpetual physical inventories in accordance with University policies and procedures.
  • Recommends, approves and monitors sources for assigned commodities and services.
  • Investigates, recommends, approves and monitors vendor sources.
  • Interfaces with customer base to achieve specification compliance for commodities and services.
  • Determines new commodities and services methods for enhanced quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Conducts analyses of commodities and services via screening panels, end-user tests, field studies, and/or plant and facility inspections.
  • Maintains database records related assure compliance.
  • Processes sealed bids, requests for quotation (RFQ), and requests for purchase (RFP).
  • Maintains perpetual physical inventory of assigned commodities and services to assure timely order fills, cost controls, and compliance standards.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in business management, supply chain management, foodservice management or a related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in purchasing and/or inventory management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
May require valid vehicle operator's license where needed to perform duties of the position.
This position requires or will require prior to the completion of the probationary period: knowledge of basic personal computer terminology and operations, and the ability to use e-mail and the Internet.
