Product Engineer Full Description

Product Engineer

Full-time
Remote (US hours) or NYC

Flint is building infrastructure for individualized learning at societal scale.

Learning is inherently individualized, but educational institutions still need visibility, safety, governance, and alignment at scale.

We believe AI can bridge that gap while allowing each institution to operate according to its own educational objectives, values, and cultural contexts.

We’re entering a period where education systems may change more in the next few years than they have in decades. The infrastructure layer for AI-native education has not been built yet.

We’re looking for Product Engineers who think in systems and enjoy solving difficult, high-impact problems across product, engineering, and organizations.

What You’ll Do
  • Build systems used by real schools and students
  • Improve product quality and operational reliability
  • Increase organizational speed and predictability
  • Solve root problems instead of accumulating patches
  • Design for long-term institutional scalability

You May Be a Fit If You
  • Think in systems
  • Communicate proactively
  • Reduce complexity
  • Balance speed with reliability
  • Use AI deeply in your workflows
  • Prefer ownership over narrow roles

Why Flint
  • Rare opportunity to shape infrastructure for AI-native education
  • Small, high-talent-density team with high ownership
  • Challenging problems with real-world impact
  • Real-world deployment across schools globally
  • Team of ~18 with remote-first product and engineering
