General Job Description:  
WPS is seeking a strategic and experienced product manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of a portfolio of products tailored to a key market segment within the mental health publishing industry. This role blends product portfolio responsibilities with market segment leadership, helping WPS deliver high-impact products that serve our mental health assessment users.  

The successful candidate will work across multi-functional teams to shape their defined product portfolio while also owning the performance, needs, and growth strategy for a market segment. 

Essential Responsibilities: 
Product Portfolio Ownership
Own and evolve a defined portfolio of print and digital products, ensuring alignment with company strategy and customer needs. 
  • Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to sunset, including business case development, prioritization, and cross-functional execution.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure cohesive and timely delivery of product initiatives.
  • Define and track KPIs for portfolio performance, making data-informed decisions to optimize user value and business outcomes.

Market Segment Leadership: 
Serve as an internal expert on a strategic customer segment. 
  • Conduct customer and market research to deeply understand segment needs, trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, and messaging.
  • Identify opportunities to expand revenue and engagement within your segment through product enhancements, bundling, or new offerings.

What You’ll Bring: 
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally working with educational institutions, healthcare organizations, or other mission-driven sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of products and drive customer-focused innovation.
  • Strong understanding of market segmentation and customer journey mapping
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics to drive priorities and strategies.
  • Comfort working across digital and print product lifecycles in a cross-functional environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field such as business, education, publishing, or related discipline.  Master’s degree preferred.

Travel:  
Up to 10% travel may be necessary for customer-facing and planning meetings.
